A custom role can be specifically used to view a Person > Competencies Tab
Create a Custom Role = Person Competencies
- Login as System Administrator
- Navigate to Settings > Manage Users > Custom User Role
- Click 'Add Custom User Role' button
- Enter Name (e.g. View Person Competencies)
- Select Features = Person Competencies
- Click 'Save' button
Map Custom Role to a Person
- Login as Editor, Administrator, or System Administrator
- Navigate to Person > Product Settings > Custom Roles
- Select 'Add Custom Role' button
- Select View Person Competencies
- Click 'Save' button
