The PeopleTray Mobile App is designed to work seamlessly with your device, its operating system, and communication services to send and receive data. To ensure the app operates smoothly, we recommend following these best practices:
1. Keep Software Up-to-Date
Make sure all software updates for both your device and the PeopleTray Mobile App are installed. Regular updates improve performance and fix bugs that may affect syncing and functionality.
2. Restart Your Device Regularly
A simple restart can do wonders! Restarting your phone clears out temporary data and frees up memory from any misbehaving apps, without affecting the rest of your system.
3. Check Storage Space
Ensure your device has sufficient storage available for the app to function optimally. Here's how to check:
- Android: Go to Settings > Device Care to check storage.
- Apple/iOS: Go to Settings > Storage to view available space.
Remove unnecessary apps that could impact your device’s performance and bandwidth.
4. Assess Your Internet Connection
A strong internet connection is essential for syncing data. We recommend installing an Internet Speed App to check your connection's speed and stability. Weak or unstable connections can hinder syncing, especially when syncing large files, such as checklists with multiple photos.
5. Troubleshooting Syncing Issues
If you experience syncing issues, try the following steps:

For Android Devices:
Go to Settings > Apps > PeopleTray > Storage and tap Clear Cache.
(Note: This option is not available for Apple/iOS devices.) -
Uninstall & Reinstall the App:
If the issue persists, uninstall the app, restart your device, and reinstall the PeopleTray Mobile App from the App Store.
6. Syncing Best Practices
For smooth data syncing:
- Ensure you have a stable and fast internet connection before syncing data.
- Sync more frequently to reduce the amount of data on your device, making each sync faster and more reliable.
- Ensure your Checklist Templates are up-to-date. When you open the app, it automatically downloads the latest checklist configurations from the web. This process requires an online connection. A success message will appear once the update is complete.
To manually update your checklist templates, go to Mobile App > Admin > 'Update Checklist Data'.
