Crew planning or scheduling is a challenging task and its complexity increases as crew sizes and the number of sites grow.
In a drilling company, the manning of drill-rig drives the work. If the drill-rig is fully manned with workers with the correct skills it can operate and fulfil its' objectives. If the drill-rig is not fully manned or is fully manned with incorrect skills it can not operate and will cost the company money. The scheduling/allocation of resources is made easier with a combination of the Crew Planning page and the Rosters page in PeopleTray.
