When adding a roster to a person there are couple dates to bear in mind.
Roster: The name of roster
Filter Rosters which begin:
- The roster cycle will start and end on a particular weekday
- This date will filter on all the roster's seed date and only display rosters which start on a particular date
From Date: The date the worker arrives on site for work
To Date: The date the worker finishes up on site
Roster Seed Date:
- If the user want to enter roster's seed date
- The seed date refers to when the roster starts it's cycle
Person Seed Date:
- If the user wants to enter a worker's seed date
- The seed date is when the roster starts it's cycle
Example:
Jim Smith has started a new job at the company. He's on a 1:1 roster flying in on a Friday and flying out on a Friday. His start date is Wednesday the 26-Jan-2022 which is halfway through the normal roster cycle. As the worker will not be in sync with the roster cycle (he flies in on a Wednesday as opposed to the Friday), the user will be required to enter a Change Shift Type for Wednesday.
- Roster = RIG01-1:1 (DS: AM-PM)
- Commencement Date = 26-Jan-2022 (Wednesday)
- From Date = 26-Jan-2022 (Wednesday)
- To Date = Blank
- Person Seed Date = 21-Jan-2022 (Friday)
