Custom fields can be added to checklist headers and can be made searchable if necessary. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do this.
Step 1: Define the Custom Field
As a System Administrator, go to Settings > Custom Fields > Custom Field Definitions.
- Filter by Entity: Set the filter to "Person Checklist Workflow."
- Click Add Custom Field.
- Fill in the following details:
- Name: Enter the name of your custom field.
- Type: Choose from options like Date Picker, Dropdown List, or Text Box.
- Entity: Select "Person Checklist Workflow."
- Active: Tick the box to activate the field.
- Searchable: Ensure this box is checked so the field can be searched.
In this example, we are adding a Text Box Field for "Short Term Worker's Name."
Step 2: Configure the Workflow Type to Include the Custom Field
Now, configure the workflow type to include the new custom field. As a System Administrator, log in and follow these steps:
- Navigate to Settings > Workflow Admin > Configure Workflow > Workflow Types.
- Click Edit for the required Workflow Type.
- Go to the Custom Fields tab.
- Select the new custom field (in this case, "Short Term Worker Name") and click Add.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Step 3: Completing the Custom Field in the Checklist
When submitting a new checklist, the custom field will appear, prompting the user to complete it.
Step 4: Viewing the Custom Field in Reports
Once the checklist is submitted, the custom field details will appear in the Incoming Reports page under the "Details" column. Since the field was marked as "Searchable," it will also be available as a filter option for searching.
